New Hollowbody!

After searching for a bit online and playing a few models in the stores surrounding my area I decided to order an Ibanez AFS75T Artcore. I played one in a local store and liked it for the most part, although the volume knobs and the tone selector felt a bit cheap. I also didn't like the action. Other than that I liked the guitar.

What really hit the nail on the head was I got a pretty good deal on eBay. I found one for $350 with the case. The cheapest I could find other than that was around $450 without the case, so, yeah I got a good deal. I will probably have the action changed and some of the electronics swapped out. Will have to wait until it gets here to decide if I will change out the pickups.

Will let you guys know more when I get it in a week or two.

Does anyone think I made a mistake or anything? I feel pretty confident that I got a great price on a decent guitar, but many of you know more than I do about these matters.

A buddy of mine has one and the only complaint he has is that the high e string keeps breaking, but that's probably just a bur or something. Once they're setup and stuff, they're really great guitars...

Yay!

I had always have fanboy attention almost exclusively to Gibson and Epiphone. Yesterday I wouldn't even pick up the Artcore, mostly because I associated Ibanez with shreddy high gain guitars, but I am glad that I finally broke through my stubbornness and played on one, because they are pretty good, especially for the price.

Yeah, I once had the same views on Ibanez guitars but then I actually tried them and was pleasantly suprused. Same goes for some Washburn guitars.
