Oh my. I'm at a loss for words. I enjoyed the first one, but how far can it go before it just seems to cheesy?

...Yeah, I'll still see this. In theaters.

YESSSSSSSSSS!!!

I am so excited about this. Chuck Norris and Jean Claude Van Damme will perfect the ridiculous cast.

They should just make it a comedy. That would actually be awesome.

I never saw the first one. And I usually don't get much into action movies, but I am actually excited about this.

I also also enjoyed the first one, but how far can it go before it just seems to cheesy?

This is gonna be sick.... I was disappointed Norris wasn't in the first one, and am super excited to see him included this time.

Oh joy.
Rule #1 for action movies - if there is no other reason to watch it, make the action scenes memorable.
The Expendables broke this rule. The only thing I can remember besides unremarkable shooting and fighting is the two or three random instances of gore.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".

The reason to watch it is to see a bunch of action stars make a movie together. So rule #1 doesn't apply. Second, the action sequences are all memorable if you understand the purpose of the film is to put a bunch of action stars in a movie together.

So a movie with run-of-the-mill action sequences, shallow characters, a bare-bones plot, and forgettable script is suddenly good because of its all-star cast? That's what makes it disappointing.

Have you seen the previous movies of Stallone, Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Jet Li in America, or Jason Stratham?
