Assassins Creed

Does anyone else really love the storyline of this game? I am thinking about buying the new Assassins Creed but want to know what you guys think about the game.

What is the storyline? I had the first one but didn't finish it. All I remember was the real character was a modern guy in a room with scientists who were experimenting with past memories or something.

In assassins creed 1 you play the character Desmond who plays the memories of his ancestor Altair in the animus. I never played the first one so really that's all I know. In assassins creed 2 Desmond goes back in the animus to replay the memories of another ancestor, Ezio Auditore. Ezio becomes an assassin shorty after his father and brothers were murdered because of a traitor to their family. Pretty much it is all about revenge for Ezio after this. Throughout the storyline Ezio gets help from Leonardo da Vinci who pretty much crafts all of Ezios weapons. You also find these glyphs left by Altairs memories and when decoded it's a clip of Adam and Eve running through an almost futuristic setting called Eden. Later in the story you receive help from allies from people such as Niccolo who I believe is Ezios uncle. Also in the story you are chasing an apple of Eden and a papal cross. You later figure out the mastermind behind the plot to kill Ezios family. Ezio confronted this guy and recovered the apple that this guy carried. Ezio doesn't kill this guy though. And after completing the story and recovering the two pieces of Eden, Ezio received a prophetic warning from someone of a more advanced society. But the message wasn't directed to Ezio, rather the person in the prophetic warning was talking to Desmond. There's more to the story but it's hard putting this together on an touch.

In assassins creed brotherhood, Desmond Miles is brought to the ruins if Ezios hometown, Villa Auditore. Once again Desmond is put under the Animus and goes back to the memories of Ezio. In the beginning of the story Ezios uncle is killed while there hometown is getting invaded. Ezio escapes with his family and flees to a new setting in Assassins creed, Rome. Once again Ezio seeks vengeance on the man who is behind the murder of his family. In this assassins creed you are more of a leader of assassins. You can actually call assassins for help, and honestly, they get the job done. Later in the story Ezio hides the apple, while outside the Animus they are tracking where Ezio left it. Desmond receives another vision where this futuristic being talks about the lack of knowledge of humans and shouts they should've left you the way you were. This vision person takes control of Desmond and cause him to stab Lucy, the girl who rescued him from the abstergo agents. Again there's a lot more to the story but on an touch.

I've been hooked on the series. I've played them all through "Brotherhood" and I feel that the storyline is pretty solid. I usually don't enjoy the story line of games and just rush through them but I do enjoy this game's.

I LOVE the second game and Brotherhood, but I'm not anxious to play Revelations for two reasons: a) Three games with Ezio? Good character yes, but two games is enough. b) I asked someone about the cliffhanger to Brotherhood.....and don't like the resolution. The whole thing didn't feel necessary at all.

Can't wait for a new protagonist in the French Revolution, which is what Ubisoft supposedly said we'd be getting this year. If they tied it into the American Revolution that'd be even better (they happened not too far apart).

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".
