Does a locked thread make you want to look?
manys a thread title that will either attract my attention to have a read, or maybe I'll see the title and think "Nah, not today"

but if it's been LOCKED, I just HAVE to look, even thought I KNOW I can't respond!!

am I a bad person?

What's more interesting is when a person actually locks his own thread, likely for the reason you're suggesting, Martin.

I may lock my journal, just to get people in there...

I usually check out locked threads just to see what happened to get it locked. I also crane my neck at car wrecks along the road and sometimes drive by a house fire. it's sick, I know.

Yeah, the lock makes me curious as well.

Then again, I browse with "new posts" and tend to read every thread that sounds remotely interesting anyway.

I don't just look in locked threads, I look for locked threads to look into.

For me, it depends. If they are in the "Christian Music" section or somewhere like that, I'll just ignore them as I figure they are just an ancient post that someone bumped along the way. After that, they are fair game and I read them with a watchful eye. I like to know what's going on around here.
