| Which "Non Switching" Wah Do You Like? Currently my wah is an original crybaby, which replaced my Vox because it had too much sweep and a harsh top end.
Problem is that I have a problem sometimes switching my wah on / off reliably and can't tell if it's on easily. I have thought about trying out a Morley because of the "put your foot on it and it's on" feature.
Any of you have an instant-on wah that you like, and why?
I use my wah with light to heavy distortion, rarely clean.
BTW, I play an LP through my pedalboard into a Fender set to clean. |

| How about an auto wah?
I have a Boss Aw-3 I love--no messing with a pedal--just off or on.
The wah can be affected by how hard you pick, in addition to the dial settings.
There is a tap feature as well.
But if you want the pedal style of a wah, there is a jack for an expression pedal, so you can change setting with it.
Give it a shot.

| Hmmm...
Never thought about that. I had an auto wah on my RP2000 and it worked ok, except it had too rigid of a sweep. Not expressive enough to use on different tempo songs.
Does your Boss AW-3 have a a tap tempo built in? How does it react to a big slow bend? does the sweep match the bend? |

| I have a Morley Mark Tremonti sig (yeah, yeah, laughs it up, haha) wah, which really sounds great. It has a built in boost, which can be quie useful, and the switch less thing is great. Just think of a spring loaded wah pedal, and that's basically it. It takes up a lot of room on a board, though, and is relatively heavy, but it sounds just fine. I can probably find some vids of me playing I with my band, if you're interested.
I also have an envelope filter that I use, basically like an auto wah, but it's a totally different tone. |

| You can adjust your sweep on the Crybaby pretty easily. Open it up and you'll see a white, plastic piece holding a black, toothed bar agaist the gear on the pot. Loose the white piece, pull the bar away from the pot, rotate the pot counter clockwise a bit, test, and repeat until you get a desired sweep.
NOTE: Find a way to mark where you started so that you can get back to where you were if needed.

| I kinda wish I did. I have a Dunlop 535q, and the previous owner took the rubber stops out from the bottom of the expression pedal, so it clicks on and off everytime you move it forward. I haven't been able to find somewhere that sells the pieces to install

I haven't used it a lot--I mostly use it on bass, and on solos, and sometimes on rhythm--with the so called Hendrix chord.
I haven't tried it with an expression pedal, I like it with the dynamic auto settings.

Rainier, I'll look at Mark Tremonti wah, I don't have a lot of real estate avbailable on my board, so if it's too big I couldn't use it.. |

| If you like the wah you have, have you considered adding an indicator LED to it? |

Might be an option, I'm pretty good with a soldering iron... |

| I modded an original Cry Baby as follows:
True Bypass switch/circuit board reconfigure
LED on/off indicator light.
Complete parts list and step by step instructions (with pics) can be found on the web. You can do this in one evening.

| I use the Crybaby: Zakk Wylde Wah and I really like it. I like the way ZWCB sounds way better than the Original CB I use to have. I could use a lot of work with my Wah skills but I still like what I get from the ZWCB. |
