Hello, just ran across this site while looking for some christian songs that could be played by just using simple chords. I'm just learning to try and play the guitar so there is no experience here.

Seems like Im having alot of difficulty being able to move quickly from one chord to another, I read that when you do this you should pick your fingers up just enough to clear the strings then reapply them to the strings of the new chord simultaniously but thats not very easy for me, I seem to apply my fingers sort of one at a time when moving from one chord to the next.

Your fingers just need to know where they are going before you hit the chord, this is all muscle memory. Your hand will learn over time the shape it needs to be in to press every chord. It really is just a matter of practice, practice, practice.

I've heard that expression before, muscle memory, I just hope my muscles memory is better than mine which has seemed to slip over the last few years.
