I love blue guitars. I always wanted a blue quilted maple guitar with white binding...

The laquer is building on it as we speak.

Not the bridge, the pick up cover. I mainly finger over the pick up so it does affect the playability. I love the classic look of the covers and would love trying a bass with the cover on it.

But if you're just learning to play and don't have a playing preference yet, as likely is the case for the owner, it's something you learn around. The pick up cover would be a hindrance to you, but it shouldn't be a hindrance to the OP.

well see it's not a hindrance at all, i mean yeah i had to get used to it, as i learned by resting my thumb on the pickup, but now i just rest my thumb on the chrome... it's really no different and it's actually more solid... i don't use a pick so it's really no big deal.. in fact the guy in my band that has been playing guitar and bass for like 30 years and wrote some tasty bass lines said to me "how do you get such a better sound and feeling than i do without using a pick" i'm all like "it's all about technique and the feel you put in it.. so it really isn't a big deal at all.
