| Steven Stamkos is so much fun to watch. He'a leading the league in goals (ahead by five) and he's playing on one of the worst teams. Here's video from the all star shootout.. http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?id=153307 |

| Hopefully my Sabres can turn it around after the break. But I have my doubts. |

| I think I realized last night that the NHL has the best all-star game and events.

I find it interesting and a great display of skill. Quote:

The MLB has a good one, but not much more than the HR derby. The NBA's isn't bad except that the dunk competition hasn't been that great in years. And the NFL's...case in point. I thought that the races, the trick shots, the shootouts, and all that stuff was pretty interesting and amusing, comparitively. Das just me tho

| I LOVE the skills competition, and that they are willing to make the game a true exhibition. |

| Lupul and Kessel did some good work in the game - Lupul had an absolute blast on the first goal, a pass from Kessel. Ottawa fans didn't appreciate their work quite so much though

| Well, the Habs finally get rid of the chronic under preforming Andrei K. I was hoping for an up and coming young player, but I'll settle for the picks.

| The Canucks trading Cody Hodgson has to be the biggest surprise of the trade deadline. Wow. |

| Yes, Hodgson going was the biggest surprise, Vancouver probably couldn't afford to sign him after this year

| Playoffs start tonight. Which series are you looking forward to the most? I think Nashville/Detroit is going to be a good battle as well as Pittsburgh/Philly.

| So Brendan Shanahan is my favorite hockey player of all time, but that was real shady of him, not suspending Weber after that vicious head hit on Zetterburg. Also Z's helmet cracked down the middle from the hit, and he only gets a fine? Seriously lame. I mean come on Shanny. We know you played for Detroit, but don't screw them over just so you don't get called a homer.
Anyway, Bertuzzi and Weber got in a fight early on this game, so it's settled in my mind. Weber got what was coming to him. If you are gonna play dirty in the playoffs, you should expect repercussions.
LGRW.
Also, I'm rooting for the Sharks right now as well. |

| Weber was obviously reacting to Zetterberg's elbow to the back of his head right before. He went a little overboard, yes, and likely deserved a one or two-game suspension, but I really don't think that he pushed Zetterberg's head all that hard - Zetterberg was clearly quite fine and I doubt he was even shaken up on the play. Speaking from experience, I'd much rather a guy do that to me than get a six-stride elbow in my face. It is a bit of a joke that he only got a fine for it though - it was malicious in intent, and that's what should matter.

| Also how crazy has the Philly/Pittsburgh series been? I have Crosby and Giroux in my ESPN playoff challenge pool and I'm currently tied for 17th in North America, with a "rating" of 99.9%. I think that's pretty good
