| Build in Progress: Foxx Tone Machine Clone Almost Enough contacted me about building a clone of the Tone Machine by Foxx. I thought it might be fun to post some photos of the process. This will NOT be a step by step, how-to thread. It will only document the progress of Almost Enough’s pedal as it is being built.
I’m going to start at the VERY beginning since all the parts are on order and have yet to all come in.
Since this is a clone of Foxx’s Tone Machine, and we’re “hunting” for that Foxx sound, I thought a good name and theme for the pedal would be "Fox Hunt". Since the phrase “fox hunt” puts a certain image of oddly dressed men riding horses led by hounds, I went a different direction with the art work.
My artwork doubles as a template on most of my projects. The crosses represent where the knobs, switches, and LED will be installed. I’m actually going to use red knobs and a red LED for this build. I don’t know why but the red just seemed really tasty as I was designing this.
There will be a switch between the “Volume” and “Sustain” knobs. When the switch is down (one paw print) you’ll just get the fuzz. When the switch is up (two paw prints) you’ll get the fuzz plus an octave.
Up next, drilling the enclosure.....
To be continued......

| This looks really nice. Way classy.
I take it that by "my artwork" you mean that you drew this yourself? |

The illustration is an image I found via Google images and then modified and the swirly, floral stuff is a Illustrator brush. Obviously, the fonts are type fonts and not made by my hand. I drew the paw prints though.
With all that being said I still have roughly two hours in the artwork alone.

| That is the sickest looking artwork I have seen for a pedal.

It's looking great. I'm super stoked. Not only will I finally fill up some empty space on my monstrous board, It's in a color I don't have yet. |

I've got another set of the button trannies, I should build another one.

| Looks even better on the pedal.
I really don't want to look at it though. I want to play it. |

| I ordered the trannies last Friday and I just checked my mail box and they're STILL not here. I'm going to start the fab today regardless.
