| oh the number of tapes that gotten eaten in my car tape deck. I remember going into a fit of depression when my Bride Silence is Madness tape got eaten up beyond pencil repair, I had to splice the snapped tape together with scotch tape just to get it playing again.
*edit* dang Modlin, you are fast. my first tape was Whitesnake, the self titled album with Still of the Night and all those other power ballads on there. great stuff. I was like 10 or so, had no idea what the guy was singing about but liked how he varied his pitch so much in that song.
*edit edit* dangit Modlin, now I had to look the album up on Wikipedia and saw it was 1987 and I was fourteen. |

| I had a Jennifer Knapp cassette, and also Jesus Freak by dcTalk and probably a Steven Curtis Chapman. I'm really probably too young to have ever owned cassettes, but there you go. |

| I had a bunch of van halen and guns and rosea. And some kiss. My mom's boyfriend face them to me when I was in the third grade...
Thankfully I moved past that phase.

| Uh huh. Sure. I actually had CDs before tapes. My first actual cassette tape was a bunch of songs from the Homestar Runner site my friend compiled for me

| Alanis Morrisette, Janis Joplin, The Eagles (who I hate now, don't get me started), Billy Holiday, and Rosemary Clooney were my first tapes.
I still use pencils for all my math. |
