Man, I am sorry to hear about that. I lived in Louisiana which is a state in the US which was probably most effected by the Deepwatter Horizon oil spill in April 2010. I am praying for y'all.

yeah its nuts. our beaches here are beautiful white sandy beaches and now theyre covered in oily crap.

plus our port is going to close which will affect the revenuse of our city.

yeah nah people are safe. but everything is black and dead....wild life and stuff.

i suppose we all have seen reports of bad stuff happening but when it happens to you, it just sucks.

well, the ship is still there and still leaking oil.

theyre slowly getting the containers off.

not really, half of it sank, and released wood, surgical gloves and milk powder everywhere. the other bit is still on the reef and theyre still taking containers off it. we have all been amazed about how slow it takes to unload a container ship and how many containers are on a ship.
