When I quit smoking my voice...

Shamefully, I had previously excused my smoking by saying "I am afraid of my voice changing." Two years ago, I quit smoking and my speaking voice has gotten higher in pitch. To my delight, my singing range has expanded. I have to work to retain my lower register, but it is still there and the highs are so much better. I also have to take fewer breaths and I can sustain for a l o n g time
