I'm needing to build a site for our church. I'm going to do it in word press because that what I know the best. I need a WordPress theme that closely resembles this. Specifically I just really want the little event box that plays a slideshow of all their events and is linkable.

There are some pretty good ones on themeforest. I've used the Light of Peace theme before, and it definitely has a slideshow.

This one looks pretty nice too.

Of course, it doesn't have to be a 'church theme' to use it for your church. Take a look around Themeforest. I also really like the themes from mysitemyway.

Depending on your skill level, you could also add something like this to an existing or custom made theme.
