NGD: another Variax 300

no pics yet as its still in the post from eBay land, but last night I was top bidder for my second variax 300.

My original sunburst one is so good I couldn't face stripping it for parts to build something a little "special".......

so I got a black one last night for £155, which is half the original retail and a LOT less that the new JT ones.

OK, its not as trixy as the JT, but it does everything I want it to........

so the plan?

maybe a stratish shaped fanned fret guitar with a maple neck, ebony board and a nicely figured wood cap and no scratchplate.

and DEFINITELY no trem!!

My only concern is making a fanned bridge, which is OK in itself, but de soldering the variax bridge to get the individual saddles out and then rebuilding them into the new bridge might be a LITTLE complex!!
