To make my point a little clearer:

A connoisseur pays attention to subtle differences that most people don't notice. Becoming a connoisseur is a choice, and it's a choice with consequences. There is a phrase I read somewhere: "Don't disturb your contentment."

No matter how much gear you have, you'll always see somewhere more gear can be added. Unless of course you take the route of the protagonist in the comic and don't pay that much attention. Then you can be like me and have one guitar, one amp, and one pedal and be totally cool with it.
Agreed, but for me, expanding my pedalboard has given me enough stuff to be happy with for the most part. A boost, 2 overdrives, 2 distortions, slapback/analog delay, dual digital delay, compressor, volume, shimmer, 10-band eq, chorus. I mean yes, there's other variety of those things out there, but I think I've got my base's covered in terms of FX that I would use. I learned years ago that it wasn't worth it for me to buy a phaser, flanger, univibe, heavy distortion box, or a number of other things. I can successfully get something approaching almost any sound I could reasonably desire from my pedal rig and my Strat & LP. I know that "this one more thing" is always a slippery slope, but I'm more sad that I'm not allowed to buy any new gear til next May :P welllll, and that my pedaltrain pro is currently full

You know....I did a mod once on an EHX Small Clone that switches from chorus to vibrato. It was fantastic. One of the best choruses ever, and a pretty solid vibrato with some in depth control. You might check to see if there's a mod to your VS H20 that would allow for that sort of control...or drop the H20 and pick up a more adaptable modulation pedal.

Or just pick up another Pedaltrain and you have plenty more room to grow. Who needs 15 pedals when they can have 30, amirite?
