I have such a poor success rate that I had considered totally forsaking it this year.

However...I have absolutely nothing going on to prevent me from participating. This is the first time in six years that I'm not in school or going through a church plant or doing full-time ministry. I have my little 9-5 job and that's it. I also have time during the day in which I can sneak a little in.

So...I probably will. I haven't thought about a potential story yet.

I didn't do it last year...but my record before that is 1/7 completions.

I'm going to make it 2/8 this year. I may even write a second novel to make up for last year...or at least fail to finish one to make up for last year.

Long gone. My fear is that I am so competition driven that I won't sleep the last week only to fail by 10,000 words.

I think I'm going to try. A few years ago I did it and got about half of what I needed. Hahaha.

We should all write the same story and see what we come up with.

I recently started a novella, and I suppose I will use NaNoWriMo to finish it. I know that goes against the spirit of the thing, but I don't think anyone is chomping at the bit to read about a vigilante former superhero turned working-class nobody tazing a corrupt cop in the junk, either.

I dunno. The only way I make this (kinda) work is by coming up with something so insane that I can just babble and it works.

That would make it even more insane. Disjointed parts to a a larger story.
