| So I think I have a story line.... Kinda workin on it right now. It is about Ninjas. I have a feeling I will lose my mind this November.

| I cheated.
I started writing yesterday.
Also, I set my own word limit (or rather, page limit). Thrash will be happy. It is a story about Baptists (though not Baptist zombies).

| I'm going in without any set ideas. I have a strategy though. Days 1-3 I will outline my story into a 5 point plot. And subdivide it into chapters. I will from there determine my starring cast and then fill in the novella in a piecemeal fashion.

| Id like to try my hand at this. Im completely bogged down right now in school work and other tasks that require vast amounts of my time, so now is the perfect time to jump in on this and try something. Quote:

2. Have 25 chapters, named The X, where each X is one of the 25 most common nouns in English in descending order of frequency. So the chapter names would be: The Time, The Person, The Year, The Way, The Day, The Thing, The Man, The World, The Life, The Hand, The Part, The Child, The Eye, The Woman, The Place, The Work, The Week, The Case, The Point, The Government, The Company, The Number, The Group, The Problem, The Fact. |
I have an idea brewing in my head, wanting to base it off of a true story (the pardoning of 2 drug smugglers in Afghanistan by Hamid Karzai) and filling in the details no-one really knows for sure with fictional situations and conversation. I just wrote a 2 thousand word essay on corruption in the Afghani government, and now that Im done with that Id love to write something that expounds on it just a bit.
Alternately, when I saw that post of yours I thought I might have to try that idea instead. I think Im gonna try and map it out starting today and work on it throughout the week and see what I can come up with.

| One of my students told me about this yesterday and convinced me to join. However, I'm not planning on writing a novel. Instead I'm going to write a book about my first 3 years in ministry. I'm feeling extra motivated because I turn 30 at the end of November. So if I finish my book, I will have written a book by the time I turned 30. |

| If you haven't already, check the Sponsors' section of the NaNo forums. There's some good stuff in there, including an offer from Scrivener, which is fantastic. |
