Milbank/Zizek book you're referring to The Monstrosity of Christ?
No, that isn't the book. When I go on my lunch break I will check the sources I used for my research paper. I know it was edited, I believe by Chris Davis (or was it Davies?) who studied under both, and the book is composed of chapters written by each (including Davis). I wish I could recall the name....

Found it.
Paul's New Moment.

And it was Cheston Davis.

And apparently, from what I read, the Monstrosity of Christ was a better book, but I don't have it as a comparison.

The Monstrosity of Christ is...expansive.

I ended up writing my senior thesis on the book. One third of it is them arguing about Hegel...and I had barely read any Hegel so I pretended it wasn't about Hegel.

It wasn't about Paul as much as it was competing readings of the grand Christian narrative. Zizek arguing also for the radical, communist, iconoclastic Christ whose death on the Cross was the symbolic break from myth and religion into the (Holy) spirit of community.

Milbank goes off about natural law...I was actually really disappointed in Milbank's responses. It's odd when the atheist seem to give better readings of the bible.
