i agree that apple is a completely diff company today, and i am sure their product roadmap is well defined for the next few years. however, i think the last thing that you said was telling. steve jobs did not shepherd apple. he took it and molded and steered it in the direction it would go. this is going to be the tough transition for apple...moving from a visionary leader with the seeming midas touch to having to rely on multiple people to contribute.
this is not to downplay tim cook's talent...its just that jobs is a very special ceo. the challenge for cook is going to be to find his own way to lead the company without being compared to jobs...that is going to be hard...esp when jobs is on the board.
