I think its awesome that they're finally free, but the under handed way that the prosecutors went about this is incredibly frustrating.

It's my understanding that there will be further court proceedings to prove their innocence. I think they will eventually be vindicated.

This case was one of the reasons I became anti-death penalty.

The new documentary comes out later this year I believe.

Same here. This case, along with the Todd Willingham case led me to become anti-death penalty.

I hadn't known until reading this article that the retrial was actually still on. The article that huffington ran made it seem that the retrial was nixed in favor of this deal.

I had somewhat followed this case but had never seen the two HBO documentaries until this past weekend. If I hadn't already believed they were innocent...the movies would have convinced me.

It's almost unbelievable that the court would ignore such obvious inconsistencies and errors.

But...I've seen it happen (on a much smaller scale) in real life...so it doesn't surprise me at all.
