The rap album is actually very good...but I can see why he might distance himself from it now.

I'll have to search for that book.

I used to see them at just about every show it seemed like. They used to open for just about everybody. I remember them as fairly goofy, but fun.

Speaking of which, sick of change ended too soon.

Really, Bettie Rocket Records (which these two bands were part of) ended too soon.

I'd throw in Ace Troubleshooter and Calibretto [13]. Ace was still finding their footing when they broke up, and really, nobody's story deserves to conclude with their band broke up because Relient K pilfered the lead singer. And while Calibretto's early stuff was pretty campy, they were cranking out some really cool tunes around the time they finally called it quits.

Sick of Change should have stuck around longer too. So should FSF...if only to see who their fourth lead singer would have been.

Yeah! I have to admit, The Deluxetone Rockets are still one of my guilty pleasures. However, I don't think the rockabilly/swing revival thing ended soon enough. While I love rockabilly, I'm glad only the strong survived.

I thought the Deluxetone Rockets were one of the strong. I have their album and I saw them live. Great show. The late 90s really were phenomenal for Christian music.

Bettie Rocket had some good stuff. Anybody hear of Shop 11 Phoenix? I really liked them.

Haha...Terminal,

I knew those guys. We played the local scene together waaay back. For real. My band was in Arlington, and they were in Mansfield (the town next door). We played A LOT of shows together in churches, basements, run down clubs. They were called letter 12 back then.

It was cool to see them hit it really big. It was sad to see them split ways mid-tour.

I've gotta resurrect this thread to add Still Breathing, Sky's the Limit, and (Denver).

Sky's the Limit's heart and soul became Mae, but it's not the same....

I can't even find record of Denver, but they were a local act around here that put out one amazing EP called "Anatomy of the Heart" and called it quits as far as I know.

Also, gotta echo mentions of FIF, Beloved, Stavesacre, and Calibretto.

Sigur Ros is going on tour in 2012 and has a new album in the works.

i'd add beanbag to the list. didn't much care for freesignal, but well adjusted seems like it was ahead of its time. i wonder what they couldve accomplished if they hadn't had that vehicle accident.
