| The graphics in half life are stunning for being made in like, 1998. Like Steve said though, its not necessary but its a great game, so why not.

| Question: Which is better, Half Life or Half Life Source? Are you missing anything by getting the source version? I need to buy that game myself, and I'm not sure which of those two to grab... |

Generally the graphics and gameplay are a bit less buggy in Source, but most of the mods are written for original HL and won't work in Source.

There's a good one by some Korean guy called residual point, or something like that, that's a complete remake of hl1 that's pretty good. Endings a bit weird, but hey... It's a mod...
