| Pickup occasionally goes So I've noticed that with my LP if I switch to the bridge pickup, occasionally I get no sound from it at all. At first I thought it was a one off, but I have been noticing it more often.
Switching back to the neck and then back again usually seems to fix it, but it has me a little concerned for now.
The fact that switching it makes me think that it's probably just something dodgy at the switch, but since I am, in no way, an expert on electric guitars, I figured I'd ask around here first.
So does it sound like it could be a problem at the switch? Or may I be looking at replacing these pickups*?
*I bought this LP second hand, but I'm fairly certain they're the stock pickups.

If it's not life threatening, I don't mind, but it is a tad annoying.

So is it a dodgy solder join at the switch or something?

Actually though, sometimes just bending the tabs works.

| Yep, Epi switches are bad news. Same thing happened to my Epi when I had it. Replace it with a new switch, and you'll be golden. |

| +1 to what's been said. I had to do the same repair on a G400. IIRC, it took longer to remove the covers and nuts required to take the switch out than it did to do the soldering. |

| Awesome, thanks guys. As soon as I get my act together, I'll get a new switch.

| Always suspect the moving parts first. In this case, that's the switch.
