OK, I'm getting old enough that if my biological parents are still alive they might not be for much longer. I've always had an interest in locating them, but for a number of reasons I've just kind of dragged my feet. There are a number of websites that say they specialize in this, but the information they make available to you is very minimal unless you're willing to pay. I don't mind paying but don't want to fork out money for nothing either. So I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this. Does anyone here know someone who has successfully located their family? Know anyone who has used online resources?
I suppose it's a question of how you were adopted in the first place. If it was through an agency, for instance, they are the ones to talk to about locating biological family. If it was private or if there was some other scenario, the manner in which you will go about locating them will be different.
