| This is so much harder than it should be...There's too many genres to go through. I'm at ~20 right now, and I feel like choosing the top 10 is going to be hard.
I can do this. |

I can do this. | I've got albums ranging from 1973 to 2010.
It's tough. |

| Tentative list...in no particular order: Brave Saint Saturn - The Light of Things Hoped For Delirious? - Glo Five Iron Frenzy - The End Is Here (2 Disc Set) The O.C. Supertones - Hi-Fi Revival Starflyer 59 - Old Sixpence None the Richer - Sixpence None the Richer Steven Delopoulos - Straightjacket Blindside - Silence Project 86 - ...And The Rest Will Follow Pedro the Lion - Winners Never Quit
Honorable Mentions: DC Talk - Supernatural Audio Adrenaline - Underdog Newsboys - Take Me To Your Leader Relient K - The Anatomy Of The Tongue And Cheek Switchfoot - Learning To Breathe Demon Hunter - The Triptych Five Iron Frenzy - Five Iron Frenzy 2: Electric Boogaloo Five Iron Frenzy - All The Hype That Your Money Can Buy The Newsboys - Take Me To Your Leader P.O.D. - Southtown Noggin Toboggan - Your Days Are Numbered David Crowder Band - Church Music David Crowder Band - Remedy The Myriad - Until We Meet Again EP ZAO - The Funeral of God
This is really difficult for me. I used to ONLY be able to listen to Christian music, and when I finally was able to get secular stuff, I kind of had bitter feelings towards a lot of Christian albums for some reason. You can really tell I stopped listening to a lot of mainstream Christian music for the past 5-8 years...and I've just now been getting back into some of it.
I mainly picked ones that I will still turn on today and respect the quality, the memories, and the musical ability showcased in it. Some albums I rocked years ago didn't age well...even for me. They didn't make the cut.
Anyways...blah blah....TL;DR. My list sucks. |

And Jesus Freak was OVERPRODUCED.
The Newsboys are certainly pop now and have been for 8 or 9 years now, but they were certainly rock back in the 90s.
Seriously, listen to this Newsboys-Breathe - YouTube
or this Newsboys-Cup O' Tea. - YouTube
Either way, this should be fun.
Top 10:
1. Newboys - TMTYL
2. Five Iron Frenzy - Our Newest Album Ever
3. DC Talk - Supernatural
4. Five Iron Frenzy 2: Electric Boogaloo
5. Project 86 - Songs to Burn Your Bridges By
6. Underoath - They're Only Chasing Safety
7. The O.C. Supertones - Supertones Strike Back
8. Delirious? - King of Fools
9. DC Talk - Live: Welcome to the Freak Show (I liked it more than Jesus Freak and most of the album was from Jesus Freak, really good live album)
10. Audio Adrenaline - Hit Parade (I couldn't choose one of their studio albums, I pick and choose way too much, but I listened to Hit Parade a lot, and before I had it, I listened to all the songs on it. I almost chose Some Kind of Zombie, but I still don't think any of their full albums were just that strong).

The only album I can listen to all the way through is Underdog, and it's not really my favorite era of Audio Adrenaline. I forgot about Hit Parade.
DC Talk - Welcome to the Freak Show is an incredible live album. Their backing band is phenomenal. |

| It was quite simply amazing. It had all the hits from Jesus Freak and some of the best from their early catalog. The backing band was great. Their performances were superb. The recording was great quality. And it didn't suffer from the overproduction the rest of their catalog did.

I do find your inclusion of the End is Here over Live: Proof TTYAR to be a bit odd. The End is Here was a good concert, but I thought it was overall inferior to PTTYAR, which, in my mind is one of the best Live albums ever produced, Christian or Secular. I wanted to put it in my list, but ultimately there were too many bands I wanted to include and FIF already had two albums on the list.

I really feel like FIF started to come into their own around All The Hype, and REALLY paved their own musical styles starting with FIF2EB and finally with The End Is Near. While I loved that ska stuff they started with, hearing horns in something that wasn't overrun with offbeats was like a breath of fresh air. I felt like the writing was much more intricate, and much more...unique on their final album. The thing that strikes me the most about the Live part of the album, though, is the energy that comes through. PTTYAR SOUNDED great, and was technically on the spot, but hearing the excitement exuding from the band on their final tour, and the excitement from the crowd was what really pushed TEIH over the top for me. Plus, I saw them twice on that tour, so it brings back quite a few memories from the shows. |

Jars of Clay: Much Afraid
Jars of Clay: Who We Are Instead
Jennifer Knapp: Kansas
Five O'Clock People: The Nothing Venture
Five Iron Frenzy: Proof That The Youth Are Revolting
Andrew Peterson: Love & Thunder
Mae: The Everglow
The Juliana Theory: Emotion Is Dead
The Normals: Coming To Life
Ugh. So hard. My list could have honestly been all Andrew Peterson, Jars and FIF. |
