| I have to admit I was surprised that the Chargers let Sproles go to New Orleans. I think he is a much better locker room leader than Bush ever was, and will help the Saints tremendously.
My Chiefs have a difficult schedule, but that happens when you turn the corner and become sucessful. Hope they can take another step this season, and actually win a playoff game...it's been quite awhile. |

He was replaced as a KR/ PR last season and would've been a 3rd or 4th RB behind Mathews and Tolbert. |

| This is the Lions year!!!!!!!!! Playoffs, here we come!!
Yes...I actually believe the Lions will be good. 10 wins and a playoff berth is definitely a possibility.
In other news...Randy Moss retired yesterday. Not that its a really big deal now..I guess its just that his career is over. I was watching the clip about it on sportscenter today..and it was actually kinda sad. They talked all about how he had an amazing amount of potential and that he could have been even better had he been more focused and given more effort at times. "He could run a 4.25 forty...yet at times he wouldn't even be running". Anyway, still one of the best ever. He's one of few guys that I've really been able to see their entire career, beginning to end.

| Denver... I don't know what to expect anymore. So much hinges on Tim Tebow's success or failure as a No. 1 quarterback. I'm excited and somewhat terrified at the prospect.

His name already slips my mind, but I read today that whoever it is, he's the one getting all the snaps with the first team and not Tebow. It didn't sound good. |

| Yeah it's Kyle Orton, but the thought is still that Orton will be dealt. But if Orton keeps outplaying him (which seems very likely), it'll be a harder decision to make.

If he's really the best man for the job, this year or ever, then it's a bonus. But I don't see him being a very major reason the Broncos win or lose many games this year. Quote:

It didn't sound good. | Doesn't sound good in that it is kind of awkward because they openly tried to trade him and ended up keeping him. Very good in that Orton is one of the top 15 QBs in the league and Denver would have been foolish to trade him without getting something valuable in return. He's not the reason the Broncos have been losing. Quote:

He's the best QB on their team, and there don't seem to be a lot of teams clamoring for a new starter at QB. |

| Orton is the better QB right now, but Denver has invested their future in Tebow and are eager to see if he's the guy. But now they've had to pay Orton since they couldn't trade him, so they they're gonna play him.
But, they're going to be eager to sit him should he not perform. The fans really seem to want Tebow, and the management wants to see what he can do. Not good signs for Orton who probably should have worked harder for that trade to Miami with no real competition.

This, apparently, is where the trade fell apart in the first place. Staying with Denver he gets almost $9 mil guaranteed, and will be a free agent at the end of the season. I think it worked out great for Orton, great for Denver who ends up with the better QB, and great for Tebow, who has more time to develop before being thrown into the fire. Orton is still young, and is a far more proven and accomplished QB than Kolb. If the Broncos aren't getting a similar value for him, then they're doing the right thing.
That being said....Tebow is a fiery competitor and a lot of fun to watch. I would never feel comfortable betting against him. |

| OTL on ESPN had a whole segment on this. They all agreed that Tebow has terrible accuracy, and still isn't even used to working from under center. There's no way Broncos management wants to start him, and if he is ever going to be an effective starter, he will have to go the Aaron Rodgers route and learn for several years from the bench. |

| So the pre-season is pretty meaningless as far as wins and losses, but there's always a few interesting story lines.....
Tim Tebow was by far the most efficient of the three QBs that took snaps for Denver today. He went 6/7 for 91 yards and two carries for 15 more yards. Anybody watch any of the game? See any highlights? How did he look?
Cam Newton maybe had a disappointing outing for a number one pick. Not terrible by any means 8/19 no TDs, no interceptions and I don't think any rushing yards. So just sort of a so/so game. |

| Did anyone see McCoy last night? How many teams are killing themselves for not taking him last year....(Miami, Carolina, Cincinnati, etc)

| Preseason means very little, but I'm thinking Mark Ingram is going to be a fantasy player that I plan on picking up! |
