I find myself in need of a new amp

So I've started play electric at my church pretty recently and I'm needing to get my rig started. As of now the only amp that I've got is a little crate gt15 (I believe)
Quite Honestly I don't know a whole lot about amps, I've been using my friends peavy tube amp and like it, but I still need to get started on my own. Right now I'm using a Michael Kelly with active emgs, we always mic our amps and we play a very contemporary style of worship. I'm looking to spend anywhere between 300 to 6 or 700 dollars. I'll be starting my own pedal board soon hopefully, so I don't really know what to take in to account for tone and all that. I would love to hear what y'all think, I appreciate it!! If I left out any info that should be taken into account just let me know.

do you have pedals right now? I would suggest a Crate V18 if you are okay with spending below your budget. I got it for 250 and it sounds better than most amps I've heard that cost less than $1,000, especially if you have the ability to crank up the volume (usually by doing something like what Daniel from Chris Tomlin's band does - having the amp behind him, cranked so that the tubes are nice and warm, pretty much backstage or sound proofed so that you can still hear the amp, but not too much goes off stage). either way, though, its a great sounding amp that can do a lot.

Also, remember that with amps, as with many things, you get what yo pay for. You sound like you are well set up for a tube amp around 15-30W. How long have you been playing?

Actually I do exactly that, we set our amps up behind or backwards or what not and then crank it lol. I like the sound of the crate you're talking about. As of now I'm running a boss multi effect (which I'm basically using for volume) and either a boss distortion or a boss overdrive depending on how heavy distorted I want to sound. How is that crate running through pedals? If you know, because I'm building a better board right now.

Also @Rainer I've been playing for about 4 years now, we're set up pretty nicely (new church building an all)

If you want a two channel amp, look at the Crate V33. It's bigger and has a second drive channel.
