Another Hillsong July 8, 2011
With more than 11 million albums sold and dozens of songs sung weekly in congregations around the world, ☺Hillsong LIVE returns with its 20th annual recording, God Is Able, set to release July 26 on Sparrow Records. Recorded live along with thousands of worshippers gathered together at Sydney Entertainment Centre in Australia, the album delivers 11 brand new anthems led by Hillsong worship team members Reuben Morgan, Joel Houston, Ben Fielding, Darlene Zschech and Hillsong UNITED, as well as international teams from London, Stockholm and Cape Town.
Each year Hillsong Church, one of the world’s fastest-growing evangelical ministries, records songs from its worship community around the world that have resonated with the church. In a year that has received its fair share of turmoil in Australia, and the rest of the world, with tsunamis, earthquakes, nuclear disasters, tornadoes and war, God is Able is about resourcing the Body of Christ with fresh songs of worship. It is about seeing people connect in a real and personal way with the Living God in control of the universe, encouraging hope, even in the midst of our present circumstances.
In addition to the CD, the God Is Able Deluxe version features two bonus songs, while the 15-song companion DVD includes the “The Scarlet Thread” bonus video, chord charts, live videos, acoustic performance videos, and the International Leadership College Trailer, which is a behind-the-scenes look at Hillsong’s leadership training college.
Leading Hillsong Church in corporate worship every week, Hillsong has also received multiple gold and platinum album awards while resourcing the local church with such well known worship songs as “Shout To The Lord,” “From the Inside Out,” “Hosanna,” and “The Stand.” Its song, “Mighty to Save,” penned by Reuben Morgan and Ben Fielding, was awarded the 2009 Dove for Worship Song of the Year and is the current No. 1 Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) song in the USA and Canada sung by an estimated 40 million people every week in church services around the world. Amazingly, Hillsong has 58 top 500 CCLI songs in the US, 74 in Canada, 124 in Australia, 101 in Singapore, 87 in South Africa, 88 in New Zealand and 26 in the UK. This album will no doubt add to their already racking numbers as they minister to the broken hearts of the world through song. |
