The Edge has had the same AC30 since the band started off. And Brian May has a signature model from Vox that has a single volume knob.

Guitars
Ibanez ARX320 (the best LP copy under $1000, IMO)
Starcaster Strat by Fender (I was told not to get rid of my first guitar)
Ibanez AEF18E (great bright acoustic)

Amps
Line 6 Spider III 75 (use it as a base for pedals)

FX
Line 6 M13 (I take it for granted most of the time)

Interesting! He probably likes a specific voicing and only needs a volume knob to control the level of power amp saturation. I also heard his guitar he always uses is a one off built from scratch by him and his dad.

Lol. His actual amp is a AC30TBX that had the non-Normal channels removed.

Nope. More gain.

I Wonder why it added gain when the channel was removed? Are you talking about gain in the pre amp? It would make sense for the guitar signal to be stronger if it has less circuit to pass through even if it's just a tone sucking wah or an extra 20' guitar cable. Also it seems that the stronger signal would translate first to the pre amp effectively overloading it even more. I'm certainly not a tech so thats just an uneducated guess.

paid
I believe the signal is cascaded into the unused portion of the preamp...or I'm totally off.

The Edge is 'good?'
