Tombstone

I love this show! Probably the best Western that I've seen in my life... ahhh, just amazing! Doc Holliday makes this show (Val Kilmer nailed that role), and is probably the most quotable movie for myself (up there with Nacho Libre and Napolean Dynamite). However, does Doc say "Huckleberry" or "Hucklebearer"? I have my take, but what is everyone elses?

Huckleberry. Without a doubt. I know this movie upside down and backward. And love it both ways.

You see, the interesting thing is that "hucklebearer" was a popular southern term that meant "pallbearer". Therefore, if Doc had said "I'll be your hucklebearer", it would have meant "I'll be your pallbearer", which seems much more of a legit threat than "huckleberry". I mean in the movie it definitely sounds like huckleberry, but i wonder what that's supposed to mean? What would that mean?

I'm not sure, but the line is "I'm your huckleberry," not "I'll be your huckleberry."

I did a quick search. This is the best answer I found.

Don't know how legit this is...but it sounds good to me.

Nice! I think that makes more sense than "hucklebearer"... I don't know which site I got that from but it seems like it was mixed up or wrong. Now this makes me want to watch Tombstone again! (I guess I'll have to borrow it again).

Oh yeah, Val Kilmer owned the show. The day after I watched it I adopted the southern drawl for a customer at work... needless to say I got a weird look haha
