Also, I don't befriend 350 people I barely know. And I've found that after ignoring all the farmscapecityvilleyocountry invites for a while that people have slacked off on sending them. I still get them now and then, but I don't play the games anymore so I just ignore them....and they go away. |

| Hmm, I kind of like the idea of the family tree thing.
My F-in-Law's a friend on FB, and I don't remember adding/accepting him. I think my Husband did it.
Now I have to be very careful on FB about saying things like, "I really don't want to go to yet another get-together. What happened this time? Oh you know, someone sneezed or something." |

| set up groups. I have people in groups that i hide all of my posts from by default, and then i have to actually manually choose to show them a status update/link/etc that I'm posting. works well for me |

The groups thing does work pretty well for private conversing

| i'll add just about anybody I've met. But if I've never met you, i won't add you. I used to use groups to block certain things from certain people. But I just decided I don't care anymore and stopped doing that. As a general rule I don't add people I work with (there are some exceptions). |

| I added some people I used to work with recently. Most of them were my supervisors, and apparently off -the-clock, they get cray cray. |

| super bad idea: add your boss as a friend
it's loads of fun being written up for something you said on Facebook. |

| Yeah, an editor asked, I'm guessing to be friendly-like, if I had a Facebook account. I just said no, and changed myself to unsearchable, ha. |
