| Rig As I don't have a huge budget for these things (I'm just the lead guitarist in our churches childrens ministry band) my main rig is an ancient combo pedal, my Squier Affinity Telecaster/Yamaha A/E FX335, and soon a generic brand ukulele! |

| I play an early '90's ESP through an egnater rebel 30 combo that i recently bought and a marshall single twelve cab. Pedalwise I use one. A vintage 1977 mxr distortion +. Acoustically I have an epiphone masterbuilt and a godin la patrie
classical. A bass rig consists of an ibanez sr and a kustom 50 watt amp and cab setup. Next month I get the gibson traditional goldtop lp from guitar center. That about sums it up for me |

| My go to electric is currently my Godin Flat Five X. I run that through a Fractal AXE-FX Ultra to FOH. I have the ability to run this with mag pups, the piezo, or a blend of them.
I also have my 79 LP Std upgraded with TImbucker pups and a Strat upgraded w/ Fralin pups and Callaham hardware.
On the acoustic side, I go for my Breedlove jumbo or Ovation 12 string through a Yamaha AG Stomp to FOH.

| In church I mostly play bass, and I use a Granada (MIJ Matsumoku made--branded for Canadian music schools) It's a Gibson EB-3 copy--and while the pickups aren't loud--it works well with our PA--I also use a small Traynor TBM--10 as a monitor
I have a bigger bass amp (A Garnet Stencil) but it's big, and awkward to carry around, and way louder than we need.

| I recently started playing my 1984 Aria Pro II: RS Straycat agian. It's made in Japan, solid Alder body, Maple neck with a Rosewood fret board, 22frets, and it has dual humbucks with a coil tap. It also has an Act tremlo, I'm not sure of the exact model. It's also Matsumoku made. By the what does Matsumoku made mean? It's a great playing guitar the only problem is that the pickups aren't that loud. I mean it's about half as loud as my other guitars. For a dual Humbucker guitar it can get some Fender like tones in my opinion.
Looking back to when I was gigging regular this was problay the best guitar I owned. But it was never anything more than a backup guitar that would get used at practis every once in a while.
I'm also gonna put new speakers in my 1966 Fender 2X12 cab and add it back into my rig soon I hope. I'm adding some of my different gear back into my rig because I'm stepping away from playing Metal and going for more of a Southern/Hard Rock sound.
Zedman that is an awesome looking Bass. |

| Matsumoku made means that it was built in Japan's Matsumoku factory. This factory (along with a couple others) was famous for the quality of the instruments built there.
That being said, I would not be surprised if your humbuckers are severely underwound or are actually disguised single coils. Both practices occurred with Asian built imports during this time. Of course, it could also be a wiring issue I suppose. |
