I'm just going to say that assumptions about myself almost drove me from the church. I see tons of hurting kids and have wireless with the screamo generation a bit and comments like that sting and unfortunately, all too often the church does treat them like piss in a urinal.

Frankly, I wouldn't describe anyone that way except a dog or cat that actually was drinking out of a urinal. To me it is just judging someone by the outward appearance and assuming the worst about them. And that is horrible. No, not a screamo fan here, but a fan of the disenfranchised who get a raw deal from the church. And to me, I find insinuations about lifestyle like that comment antithetical to the incarnate word who loved tax collectors and other social outcasts.

If that's how you read my post, ok. We'll go on from there.

Our Ivy League schools teach that morality is relative. And then when the graduates practice on Wall Street what we teach them in class, we put them behind bars. - (Ravi Zacharias paraphrased)

Born to die. Born again to live.

In the quest for historically accurate musings of great men, no creation has bestowed more frustration upon its creator than the internet. – Thomas Jefferson (1877)

OK. No more on this lame analogy. Bill and I PM'ed and we're good.

However, hardcore bands... I have yet to check them out to see what brand of "hardcore" they are, but Fight the Fade band members couldn't stop talking about Children 18:3's drummer. I'm gonna check them out.

To me, this thread is just awkward now. I'm glad everyone got everything cleared up, but at the risk of leaving this thread open and having someone else come into the thread and seeing the past comments then deciding to reopen the comments and me having to delete them, i'm going to just close this thread. It appears the intent is pretty well accomplished or remaining stagnant. I might be overacting, and seeing as some of the posters in this thread have been an Administrator and SuperMod, they can obviously freely reopen this if they see it unfit for me to close it.
Until then, this thread is done. I'm sure there will be plenty of others formed before too long . . .

"There is no peace on earth," I said,

Of peace on earth, good will to men."

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:

The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men.”
