| Hey... I disagree.... Swing dancing is NOT a visual/ performing art... It's more of a mini-culture...
~looks around for the mini culture section~
What?! No micro culture section... Aw dang.

| I LOVE to swing, but a good male partner is hard to find around here in the mountains of East Tennessee. When I was in college, this guy who was a kindof athletic swinger wanted to try some tricks with me that he thought up in his mind. So we were on the commons area of campus and he tells me what to do and then tosses me in the air..... well, he got so excited about how high I flew into the air that he forgot to catch me and I landed on my derriere. So we try it again and he forgets again..... boys

| Hey... I don't think that's a cheap post... it's very relevant to swing dancing....
Here, I'll explain it. Quote: WHOOO HOOOOO for Speidumb's FIRST Thread!!!!! | The term "WHOOO HOOOOO" is actually a defined swing dancing term. The "WHOOO", with it's three "o's" is a term of everlasting endearment... where as the "HOOOOO", with its five "o's" shows excitement and joy.
Then my name, which fits into the Swing dancing realm because I started the thread.
Then " FIRST thread." which is another way of saying "I like to swing dance, it's a lot of fun and I enjoy doing it all the time that I can." Really... I saw it on the internet, it must be true.
As for the term "*MAJOR BUMP*", that is a swing dancing move that involves a lot of strength and agility to perform... I'd demonstrate it, but due to space constraints, I cannot do so at this time...
So, as you can plainly see, servingHim247's post is deffinately on topic... :kgrin: :kgrin:

| I kind of swing dance. I've done it a few times. I usually look like an idiot, but I really enjoy myself, so I guess the fact that I look dumb doesn't matter so much...

| My friend Amy tried to teach me once...and we did a "demo" for the class b/c we were doing a report on swing in music class. But she's the one who was really serious about it, and took classes, etc. From the little I've experienced, I found out that I should just stick to dancing at rock shows.
But it's cool, and I wish I could actually do it... I'm big on jazz and music in general (hence my sn)...
So try to find a good guy that is reliable and causes no injury and have fun doing this art... |

j/k -- seriously though a good partner is so much more fun than one who has two left feet.
