| when I let my WoW account expire at the end of this month, maybe I'll give this one a try.
*edit*
I caved in and bought it online. not at all happy that their page for ordering and paying via credit card was not encrypted HTTPS / SSL. but ah well, I digress. I will have to check it out tonight after karate.
*edit again*
Never mind, left off the port duh.
*holy cow, another edit - guess I'll keep doing this until someone actually posts after me*
my apologies to whoever built a nice house that is now missing a few blocks around the door. I was walking around minding my own business (or mining my own business if you'd rather) and it got dark and these stupid zombie things started chasing me and it was something out of a horror movie and I ran up to a door and starting hitting stuff and knocking holes in the stinking wall until I finally figured out how to open a door and then ran in and shut the door. I have no idea what the heck I'm doing or I'd rebuild your wall, sorry. so do I just pick a spot and start building a house or something? pretty funky stuff.

| you know what would be cool? if someone else posted in this dang thread except for me.
I didn't know the green zombie things or white boney things could blow crap up. I barricaded myself into a /sethome location on top of a mountain and bricked myself in with my trunk and a jack o lantern, stupid spiders. if someone climbs up a mountain and hacks into a square shaped dirt pile, and find a jack o lantern and locked trunk, it's mine. |

| Creepers are what actually blow up. Zombies and skeletons don't. |

| Friendly reminder:
If you're going to chop down a tree for wood, take down the whole tree.
Don't leave it like this, because then, I have to do this, which isn't fun for anyone
If you see a big tree, it's often best to just leave it alone, and chop down small trees for wood. |

| if you do want to take out a big tree, use a gravel stack to get to the top then work down from there.

| Eh, it was going to be mine but it is haunted by creepers 24/7 so now it's just a grim reminder. Also I started making the interior and found somebodies mine shaft... |

| Here's what I've been doing:
1) First I built this warehouse
2) Inside the warehouse
3) Then I decided to build a small town. Only two houses so far.
4) Outside house #1
5) A kitchen with a great view inside house #1 |

| so I've mined for hours and hours under sea level, and at best have gathered maybe twenty nuggets of iron. rather disheartening when the mods are just creating vast palaces of diamond and gold by filling their inventories with the stuff with no effort.
is there some way to tweak the world settings to be a little more generous with resources?
and has anyone found any nice high def texture packs? I've been playing with a few different ones, some I like and some crash Minecraft rather spectacularly. |
