PRAISE: I would like to praise God that He provided me with a second job - I need a second income in order to keep up with the rising rent in my area, amongst gas, bills, groceries, etc that are also rising. Without a second job I probably would have ended up homeless and couch hopping within the next couple months. So, Praise Him that He provided! I got hired to be the night auditor/night front desk at one of the hotels that will be opening July 1st, and I start training next week. I'll be full time until school resumes, and I'm getting a buck fifty more an hour than what I had asked. I'm very thankful!

REQUESTS: Since my second job is full time, I'll be working 40 hrs/week nights there, then at my current job 20-30hrs/week days. Thats a lot. Sleep and life will be difficult. Next week when I start training at the sister hotel, I'll be working 11pm-7am, then working at Hot Topic 9am-6pm, then back at the hotel again at 11-7, back at HT 9-6. This'll happen for three days. So really, for three days, I'll get potentially three hours of sleep a day. This honestly scares me a little. I don't know if I can take it. But I'll have to do it. So I could use some prayer getting adjusted to that and staying strong, awake, and alert. That shouldn't happen too often I don't think. But it will happen.

Also, my back. I messed it up somehow on Tuesday and it isn't getting better. I can't afford a chiropractor right now - I can't afford anything right now. I bought groceries the other day and instantly regretted it. So I'm in constant discomfort and every time I lean forward, get up out of a chair, move in general, I get this pain up my spine. Please pray for healing. I'm doing heat/ice right now. Tried stretches but I couldnt physically do it, it was just too painful.

I'm going on vacation June 7th to visit my grandparents and a fellow CGRer. Please pray that I'll get everything done I need to before I leave and that I'll be blessed by my time away, and for travel mercies - I feel too old to say this, but I've never flown alone before, and flying makes me nervous to begin with.

Lastly, there's flooding occuring throughout my state. I litterally live 40 feet from the river that runs through my city. The past few days they've been raising the embankment about four and a half feet to try to protect us, but they just don't know if it will be enough because we are expecting rain all weekend long and north west of us they have to relase water from the dam because of flooding over there, so between the extra water flow from the release and the expected rain, things could get ugly in the next couple days. The National Guard is here, and my street is closed off to traffic. So prayers for safety from the expected flooding would be great too.

I feel like that was a lot of requests - but they're heavy on my heart today, well the past week really. Thanks for prayer.

My back is 90% better! Praising the Lord for that!

Also, I'm training at the hotel right now and am on a break using the computer, and we had so much rain today that the flooding is horrible. All over the news. All the bridges are closed down. I'm not sure how I'm going to get home tonight, and I need to go home. I open the store tomorrow and need my clothes for work. So yeah, continued prayer for flooding! Thank you!
