Question Want to upgrade speaker for yamaha g50-112

I want to upgrade the speaker. I know the speaker is 8 ohms and 12 inches but I want to know if the speaker wattage will make a difference. Does it has to be more than the amp? The amp is 50 watts I really like this old 70's yamaha got it for pretty cheap and I just want to upgrade the speaker so any suggestions?I am only using it for worship but man is it loud. So any good clean with good highs speaker will do. I was thinking this one cause its pretty cheap Celestion Rocket 50 12" Guitar Speaker but any help will be appreciated and something that doesn't break up as soon as my old speaker.

What do you feel are the deficiencies of the speaker?

If you're dead set on a replacement, I'd shoot for something in the 50-75W range. I would be willing to bet that the Rocket 50 would not necessarily be an upgrade in this situation. It is one of Celestion's cheapest speakers.
