Talent has nothing to do with it. The ladies aren't swooning for Yo Yo Ma. If you look good, have abs, treat the girls like you don't even know they are there, and have the whole "Bad Boy Dangerous" thing going, you don't even need to know how to play. Just turn the amp to "10" turn the "Big Muff" on, and hit a power cord on the "1" beat.
