Why is your hdd only 32GB? My flash drive is 32GB

Anyway...

Best way to go about it that I can think of quickly is C Cleaner and wipe the free space, then defrag your drive.
If you're still missing space, then I'd recommend just getting a bigger drive. You can get a bigger drive pretty cheap, just stay way from Seagate.

Also, external hard drives are real cheap now, can get a lot more storage than that for cheap. no installing required

It's fabulous.
It's also excellent for buttering toast.

I don't think the problem is missing space. I think it's a tiny drive, plain and simple.

Aaron, check your facebook messages. I think I may know of a solution for you.

Thanks, BSPE.

Yes, the problem is a tiny drive. I bought it 4 years ago, and LITERALLY bought the cheapest laptop I could. I never in a million years thought I'd fill it up.

But the question about partitioning is definitely interesting. I thought I had 2 hard drives, but maybe it's one that's been partitioned? I have a C and D drive, both of which say they're 33 G. Most of my data is on the D drive, but it's also almost full. I just assumed, because in my last desktop I had 2 physical hard drives, that the same was true with this laptop.

probably not. Its somewhat risky to delete the other partition and extend the other drive. Almost no laptops have two laptops.

If you do some searching, you can learn how to identify and remove the uninstall records for windows updates. You won't be able to roll back the update any longer, but honestly who does. That can easily grow to 10-20GB over time.
