| is it forbidden for CHristians to get angry? here's a very interesting question i've always wanted to ask everyone of you guys. well, is it really forbidden for us to get angry? i mean, you know that sometimes things make us also pressured and sometimes people around us get too abusive because of the mere fact that we are Christians.
sometimes,it's really hard to react on situations but anyway i praise God that i have this patience in my nerve!:kroll:

| It's ok to be angry, it's not ok to wrongfully to act on that anger.
It's ok to be angry, it's not ok to keep it that it would form into hate.
It's ok to be angry, it's not ok to hold grudges.
It's ok to be angry, it's awesome to release it into God's grace.
Oh, and try to remember people who pick on Christians are simply blind, lost, spiritually ignorant. "Forgive them for they know not what they do" holds here, and helps us realize they need love and forgiveness. Don't look at how people are, but where they can be in Christ, and do what you can to bridge them from there they are to where they need be. If you find yourself angry, really think, is it worth being angry about?
As for righteous anger, check out John 2.
Anger, like many emotions, is like the engine in a car, it can get you moving, but if you leave it to them to steer.. well you know what happens. So it's ok to have emotions, God gave them to us for a reason. But as for how we are to direct ourselves according to those emotions, we must use our mind in accordance with Scripture (our driving manual) to control. |

| There's nothing wrong with righteous anger. Remember when Jesus saw the moneychangers in the temple?

| I don't think anger itself is sinful... it's what you do with it that can be.

| Oh, one other thing though. It's too late now but we are told not to let the sun go down on our anger, so going to bed angry isn't a good practice. I also know this from people who have been married a long time, going to bed angry isn't a good habit to make. |

My dear brothers, take note of this: everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
I don't think it's possible for us to NEVER feel angry. But I think that we should strive to be slow to anger, and like Ian said... do not sin in your anger. (I can't remember the reference to that verse..)

Anger isn't bad as long as it's controlled. |
