Through a series of trades and moves I found myself with this really nice tele neck. The guy I got it from gave it to me as a package with a body too...I like the body, but I'm not crazy about this neck on it. It's maple, and I think I'd really like a rosewood or ebony neck.

So, I thought I'd see if anyone wanted to trade: my vintage finished semi-glossy GFS tele maple neck for your nice, preferably glossy, tele rosewood neck.

The guy got it from GFS unfinished with a paddle headstock. He cut the headstock to look like the 72 deluxe and finished it with a nice vintage tint. It's not really glossy, but not quite satin, a bit in the middle. Looks really good. Frets need a little bit of cleaning as they were on when he finished it. I cleaned one with the rough side of a sponge...took half a minute.

The build quality itself is as good as any middle of the road Asian neck (I'm assuming it's Asian). Frets are a bit rough on the bottom side, but not bad. I probably wouldn't put it on a MIA Tele, but as a project for something else, I think it'll be fantastic.



I'd really like to make the trade for a rosewood or ebony neck of similar construction. I'd also consider trades for anything interesting, or shoot me an offer and I might consider selling it for cash. Or if no one wants it I'll sit on it and build something else later.

If a trade is out of the question, perhaps someone has a neck they'd like to sell me? Needs to have a rosewood fretboard (well...anything other than maple)...finished, unfinished...whatever. The non-maple fretboard is the important part.
