Currently, I have one tom that doesn't have a Pinstripe on it, so I use one there and one on the snare. They really do a good job. It makes it much less ringy. I got a set of four and only need to use two. On the tom, it really makes it sound like a Pinstripe. Before I put a pillow in my kick, I put one on there and it did its job INCREDIBLY well.

On the toms/snare I use Remo Pinstripes and try to keep both of the heads about the same pitch so it remains the same after hitting it. For the snare I crank the bottom head and keep the top head medium for a really good rimshot sound. I use O-Rings on everything as it just seems to make them sound better.

For the bass I use an Evans Emad-2. I keep it SUPER slacked, like, some of the lugs are completely loose haha. Nothing hits you in the gut like a loose Emad-2

It cuts off the access overtones that don't sound good on my drums. A lot of drumsets are awesome enough to sound good without any help at all, but mine doesn't so I get help from o-rings.

I'd say so. I've never personally used or seen moongels, but if it has anything to do with dampening overtones, it's in the same ball park.

Snare: Ambassador coated

Toms: Remo Renaissance, or ambassador clear

Bass: Aquarian Super Kick I or II

I typically don't use any extra dampening, unless it's a piece of duct tape on the snare
