Serious GAS attack...

Here I go again. Pro guitar shop (proguitarshop.com) has the Vox Ice9 distortion on sale for $89. Couple that with the $30 MFR rebate and you can't go wrong. I know this thing isn't for everyone but I really dig it. Let me know if you need the promo code. I wonder if GC will match that price. GC also has the BBE Sonic Stomp on sale for $79. Add in a $10 in-store coupon and you're golden. I've wanted this one for a while for a while so I'll probably have it by the end of the month. Whew!!!

I also went a little crazy this week, took advantage of the $30 off GC coupon. Four pedals in the past 3 days. I'm going to need to work some overtime this month, lol.

I'm also thinking about getting a Boosta Grande. What did you get, bro?

Sunday I nabbed the Swollen Pickle and Carbon Copy. Monday I grabbed an OCD, then today I grabbed the Deluxe Memory Boy and Micro Q- Tron. I will be returning the Carbon Copy.

GC will match an advertised price but not an after-coupon price.

I typically don't pay GC's price on anything. I find someone else's lower price nearly every time. And sometimes I'm talking about big savings. I think they hate it when they see me walk in the door...

That's kind of the problem with commissioned employees, they don't seem too happy about anything that lowers the amount of money you're paying. That's why, while I do enjoy Guitar Center for certain things, I have found a couple good local shops that are much nicer to deal with. Some local shops have horrible customer service though, and I avoid those.

Unless they reversed the policy, GC isn't supposed to haggle anymore. When they were allowed to haggle, they had no problems lowering a price because they knew it'd mean that they would close a sale.

Right, I understand that, but what I meant was that I have sensed some resistance to the WIDELY ADVERTISED price matching guarantee. So either it is for some reason a huge pain in the butt for them to honor that policy, or it lowers the amount of commission they receive.

It's probably a combination. They have to get a manager involved, probably lose some commission and are probably wary of a lot of scams. Depending on what they do to verify whether or not the ad is real, how hard would it be to print out a fake webpage?

Actually they go to the website to verify your price match.
