Instrumental Pickups

Hey I'm not sure if this is the right category for this thread, but I'm looking to upgrade the pickups on my Ibanez SZ520QM, and I'm wondering if you guys have ever had any experience with that guitar (or a similar Mahogany body, Rosewood fretboard style).

In any case, I've been looking at either DiMarzio PAF Joe (Neck) and DiMarzio Fred (Bridge) or the Seymour Duncan JB (Bridge)/Jazz (Neck) combo.

What do you guys think? I'm shooting for a good instrumental rock tone, like Satriani's or to some degree, Petrucci.

Thanks!

I have an S470 and I recently replaced my lousy stock pickups with Dimarzios. I put a PAF Pro in the neck, a Breed in the Bridge, and a True Velvet single coil in between them. I also put a push pull pot on the volume so i can split the PAF Pro. This thing sings now. If youre looking for something really hot and loud, you could also go with the Evolutions or the Steve's specials. Look at the prices at jrmusic.com. Theyre about the cheapest around and most of the bigbox retailers (GC, MF, Zzounds) will match them plus 5%, which is nice. That's how I buy all of my gear. . Just make sure you get the F- spaced humbuckers.
