| Don't you love it when God shows off? This thread's purpose is to talk about how flippin' awesome it is when God just shows off in our lives, with or without our asking Him to!
This morning, He just blew me away. I was praying for my brother, and an ex-girlfriend came to mind who I used to care about deeply. Well, I was never a fan of how our relationship ended, but we made the mutual decision to kinda cut contact off, because reverting to "just friends" wasn't going to work for us with the level we'd been on. Anyway, a month or two ago I'd been wanting to try to patch things up in some way, shape, or form at least a little, as I still care about her, but God convicted me strongly that I had the wrong motives and I needed to wait for her, if that day ever were to come. So I buckled down and trusted God, and He sustained me.
Anyway, back to this morning. As I was praying, she came to mind again, and I kinda probed a little to see if it was still a taboo subject, and I felt like it was okay to ask God again. This time, though, I asked for it to be in His time, and I re-affirmed that I'd submit to Him. Well, lo and behold, I checked my e-mail not 2-3mins later and saw an e-mail from her apologizing for the way things ended!
I'm kind of in awe of God right now. It's funny because something so seemingly small just completely showed God's faithfulness to me!
The best part about it is that she sent the e-mail 12hrs before I got it, and, by all means, it's surprising I didn't get it last night. So God provided preemptively because He's just awesome like that!
Oh yeah, another one from yesterday: I was getting ready to drive home from campus, and I turned on my windshield wipers, and one just kinda severed and broke off. It was broken at the attachment point, but it would stay on if I rigged it just right, so I did that and headed over to Advance Auto to get a new one. I wasn't fond of spending $15-$20 at this point in my life with other expenses pending, but I was just like, "Well, it's necessary, and God'll figure out where the money'll come from."
So I get to the store, go inside, pick out the new blade, and head over to the counter. I'd brought the broken one in so I could ask how it might have broken, and I got the exact same model as a replacement. Well, the manager ends up ringing me up, and, as she is, I show her the broken one and ask her her opinion. She had no idea, but, instead of continuing ringing me up, she said (paraphrasing), "Doesn't matter how it broke; it shouldn't have. It belongs to the company, so take the one you just got and don't worry about it." So God provided yet again!
So, anyone else want to share? |

| The only noticeable one that comes to mind was when I bought my bass. I got it off eBay, and it was in Newcastle, where my mum and brother were for the weekend. Except when the auction ended, was actually after they were coming back here (a five hour drive). As it would turn out, something died in the car, leaving them there for another day. So they got to pick up my bass, and the guy was really nice and had just restrung it and everything.
It was awesome.

| I just had one of those experiences literally minutes ago. I was outside walking around (we have a significantly lengthy driveway) just praying about a few issues currently swimming around in my head that've been weighing me down today. One of which was a job I was planning on applying for tomorrow which I've been feeling woefully unprepared for. It's incredible, by the way, how quickly your perspective on things can flip around after laying it all out before God and remembering what He's truly capable of.
Anyway, I just came back inside and found an e-mail from my contact at this company. He sent along some helpful information, including the fact that the gent who screens applicants is out of town for a few days, so there's no great hurry to rush an application over there. That is a great load off my mind tonight and now I have some extra time to get my act together before applying and (hopfully) interviewing. And like Paul's, turns out he sent that e-mail a couple hours ago.
GOD IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

| Oh, I also got my Stellar acoustic off eBay. It was just down the road from where my brother lives.
God is amazing!

| I have a "Woah that was totally God" story (well, actually several, but here is one related to gear).
I was looking at getting a second Crate MX120R amp, so I could have two of them.. one to keep at home and one to keep at church.. Well, I was looking on ebay, and they were going for 220-250 plus 60 shipping. I was like, yeahhh, I can't afford that. But then I found one for 140 plus shipping, and I was like WOAH.. but still couldn't afford it.. so I posted a link on Facebook and said, "Here's a good amp at a great price, I was going to get it but can't afford it." The same day, I got a message from my cousin's old pastor (old pastor meaning he's moved and has a new pastor) saying, "I bought the amp and am shipping it to you." I was like.. WHAT??? How much do I owe you? he said, "Owe me? Nothing. "
He paid $210 to buy and ship the amp to me. It's sitting in my bedroom right now, while the other one is at church. Now, I can work on shaping my tones at home, so when I get to church, I have the same amp to play them on, and don't have to worry about re-tweaking them. |

| I'm incredibly dense when it comes to hearing God- there's so many trains of thought constantly going through my head that I never know if something is me or Him. So in our history He's always done really incredible things when I really needed to hear Him.
One case of this was when I was going through the process of deciding if I should break up with my boyfriend. He had become really quiet and aloof and every time I tried to talk to him about it he shut down. We were also really good friends so I had no idea what to do. One day he brought me flowers and they died instantly, totally drooped over. The next day we broke up. I came back to my room crying, not sure if I did the right thing and if either of us was going to be okay. Then I heard a popping noise. I looked over at the flowers and one had shot up. More popping noises as more flower sprung back up. It was completely amazing. I'm so glad my sister was there at the time or nobody would have ever believed me.
Another time I was in my room and I was kind of sad that day. I was praying about it because I have this huge fear of being alone- I asked God if it was always going to be that way or if I'd ever be able to experience love. I heard a noise outside my window and two doves (my favorite bird) were sitting on my window and I was instantly flooded with peace.
God is so good. |

| Two nights ago, my husband and I ended up moving to sleep on our air mattress on the floor because our bed mattress was causing both of us extensive back pain. It's a mattress well past it's prime, but we were hoping to get another 6 months out of it, as we can't afford a new one before that. That night I was talking to God about it and told Him, I'm more than willing to sleep on this air mattress for the next 6 months, however you know that we could really use a new bed so we need you to provide it for us.
Today I get an email from one of the women I go to Bible Study with, asking if anyone needs a queen size mattress, box spring, and frame that's in good condition because they have an extra.
A friend is going to drive up with us tomorrow cause he has a truck to pick it up - free of charge.
God really does care about the little things in our lives.
