| We're very excited. First of all...it's our first true vacation away from the kids. Second, it's our 20th anniversary. Lastly, it's freaking MtlFest. |

| A note about clothing -
There is a lot of pine pitch, and it will stick to your shoes, and to your pants if you sit on it. Don't wear your best. Don't wear your second best either. This is a good time to pull out your old comfy clothes and those shoes that have paint spattered on them. |

| Heh, uhoh. We are already here in CA and while we did bring park-ish clothes we did not bring extra trashy sneakers. I imagine we will survive, though. |

| My role will most likely be limited to hanging out on the 3rd. I have to work on the 5th so I don't think I will be able to make it down to the cabin. |

| I had two brand new pair of flippy floppies ruined the first time I went to the cabin. Mrs. M speaks truth.
I have a sad wardrobe. I have t-shirts that can get ruined, but certainly not pants or shorts. Haha. Oh well! |

| Yeah, it's mostly the shoes that are the problem. You can protect your pants as long as you look where you are sitting and avoid sitting on logs. At the first MtlFest, Mrs. D. decided to ditch her shoes and just go barefoot. I wish I had a picture of her dirty little hobbitt feet. |

| You know something...it says we arrive at 11:07 AM but I don't know if that means our time...or yours. We leave Raleigh at 6:00 AM. It says we arrive in Houston at 7:51 AM. Then it says we leave Houston at 9:15 AM and arrive in Sacramento at 11:07 AM. That sounds like EST to me...how about you? |

| Nah, that will be PDT. And I just looked it up on the Sacramento Airport website. It says you arrive at 1111.
Edit: Flights generally list local time for where the flight is at the time. That one has already tripped me up once. |

| Correct. If you look under each individual flight (visible in that screenshot), it shows the flight time for each flight . |

| Looking at those flight durations makes me somewhat nervous. I honestly don't like to fly and have never been on a flight longer than an hour. The thought of being in the air nearly four hours makes me...um...queasy. I can't imagine that 13 hour flight from Africa that Mom just took.
I'd need sleeping pills. |
