Most "exciting" election in recent memory for sure, but I have to agree with normajean here on the NDP presence. If Harper makes a bad mistake and Canada turns on him, we could be looking at an NDP government in four years. That prospect actually scares the crap out of me. Also, I'm not entirely sure I like a Conservative majority. Harper with a majority scares me a little.

I am fine with this majority government, I trust Harper more than any of the other leaders. You'll never have a perfect party, but I think they are the best overall party out there.

I opened up a new trading account today for the occasion. Looks like a nice 4 year bull market IMO.

Because he already has a track record of bulling through just because he can. Proroguing Parliament because things weren't going his way is a prime example.

I trust Harper a lot more than any of the other leaders who were running for PM. Iggy had no set agenda in my opinion, he bounced all over the place. Layton would be terrible for Canada in all honesty... just terrible. Hopefully now that Harper has a majority we can scrap the Long Gun Registry, cut our losses in a sense.

I don't like any of the parties, but I voted Conservative again, like my brother, I voted them because I trusted them more than the other parties and they just seemed like best option out of the parties.
