Awesome idea
Guys...ok guys, bear with me here. You know how for every genre, there are Christian groups that play that genre, like Christian metalcore, Christian punk, Christian ska, etc? Well, I noticed that there aren't any Christian bitpop/chiptune bands/artists out there. Me and my friend are thinking about doing this. What do you guys think? We could be like pioneers of a new genre using old technology!

the reason for that is probably because there isnt any singing involved with 8-bit music. kinda hard to be a "christian" band if your songs dont even have lyrics.

There are bitpop bands bands that have vocals, sung vocals, sung by people. Look up 8 bit weapon, and even then, we could have vocals AND chiptunes in a song.

Also, weren't many classical songs (without vocals) considered to be God-inspired?

... bad idea. techno/dubstep/8 bit is just better of being instrumental.

not really... unless they were choir pieces they were usually intended for enjoyment. However alot of composers did dedicate all of their life's work to God.
