| NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! My family keeps trying to run away from AT&T in all their different forms, and they keep coming back for us!!!
grrr... they can't change anything though as far as individual contracts until a contract ends, right? so like, if they decide to raise the price or something it has to wait until after current contracts have ended.. right?

It's called "grandfathering". As long as you don't change your plan or let the contract expire, they'll probably continue to give you what you have now. That's how it usually goes.

I might be wrong, but I am pretty sure that the contracts all say that when your contract expires, it will continue as it until you change it. |

That's how the wireless industry is set up.

Companies that don't do contracts change prices all the time, legally, look at Netflix. However since everything at cellular companies are contracted (yes even if it you can break it at any time you have a written agreement which is legally a contract) they can't do that.
See with Netflix you have a loose agreement wherein it states that as you have the right to leave the company at any time they have the right to change the rates at any time but they MUST provide adequate notice.
Cable does this a lot as does some other places. But when you are understood to have a contract, no they can't change your prices.
