PFR deserved more attention than it got. Right now I say watch for 7eventh Time Down. They just signed to BEC I think. They have been around for a long time and not had much popularity. Abandon Kansas is another under the radar.

I loved PFR... still give them a listen every once in a while. "Forever" is an incredibly powerful song.

As far as I know I don't think Copeland is considered a Christian band. I think they might have some christian members, but aren't entitled "christian". Anyway, regardless of the christian music scene Copeland might be the most underrated band ever.

I don't think many of the bands mentioned have been. I don't think Mae or Further Seems Forever were, at least.

I second Edison Glass and Anchor and Braille.

And I feel like FIF should have gotten bigger. But perhaps that's just my FIF love coming out.

Really?

I mean some of them should have been more popular, but could the Supertones or the Insyderz really had become more popular than they did?

Dustin Kensrue's solo stuff... amazing man, and no one I know of has heard of him (besides my bro and a couple of his buds). "Take It Back!" is awesome and yet not all that widely known, and I know he was popular back in the day, but Keith Green is seemingly forgotten by many people. I absolutely love him, so good!

Tommy Walker. His talent exceeds his actual recognition. It might be partly because he doesn't write neatly within the box of mainstream "P&W". To be honest, I find some of his stuff kind of boring (lyrically simplistic? I'm not sure). But, when he does break out, he can really play. Probably deserves more recognition in North American than he actually gets.

Or perhaps you're like me and hate when a band I love starts getting more airplay and their songs are ruined by radio
For me, I find that I often like the tune that don't get on the air more than the tunes that do get airplay. In a lot of cases, a band's best songs never get on the air, only the "formula friendly" ones ... imo anyways.
